In response to Sandeep's comments, Kangana took to Twitter, stating, “Review and criticism are not the same; every kind of art should be reviewed and discussed—it is a normal thing. The way Sandeep ji showed respect towards me by smiling at my review suggests that he not only makes manly films but also possesses a manly attitude. Thank you, sir.” She also addressed the prospect of working with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, saying, “But please don't ever offer me any role; otherwise, your alpha male heroes will turn feminist, and then your films will face backlash. You make blockbusters, and the film industry needs you.”

In the interview, the Arjun Reddy director initially expressed, "If I get an opportunity, and if I believe she would be a good fit, I will approach her with the script. I genuinely admired her performance in Queen and many other films. So, if she has made a critical comment about Animal, I don't take offense. I don't feel upset because I've seen her work… I don't harbour any negative feelings.” ALSO READ: Ranbir Kapoor Shares Animal Started ‘Healthy Conversations’ On ‘Toxic Masculinity’; Actor Opens up About Sandeep Reddy Vanga Directorial
